Half Hexies

I have been doing a QAL at http://helpinglittlehands.blogspot.com/2013/08/hexies-by-halves-quilt-along-lesson-3.html this week we were setting out our blocks and sewing them together. About half of my fabrics were scraps from my stash and the other half were things I just bought on a whim or discount recently. It took me about an hour to set out the blocks so that there were no major obvious fabric clashes. There is more green in this than anticipated so it almost could be said to be a green and brown palette rather than the brown I had intended!!

The quilt top all finished and trimmed

I'm not in love with my fabric selection, but it has a scrappy feel that is okay
The fabric selection
Most of my points were pretty good, like these two:

But a few were off a little like these:

None of the points that were off are worth ripping out and they aren't really noticeable to the untrained eye, so I am quite happy with how it came together.
