A big weekend!

I spent three nights at a quilt retreat with my quilt club this past weekend. I worked on my Tula Pink City Sampler, Itty Bitty Lone Star and the Shirttails quilt from my Bonnie Hunter book Scraps and Shirttails.

I finished the Itty Bitty Lone Star block which measures about 20" square:

Far from perfect but i started this in my first ever quilt class, so I am pleased to have it finished :)

I got 28 scrappy Tula Pink City Sampler blocks done:

And I got over half of my Shirttails blocks done too:

So it was a very productive weekend!

Then I got home to a parcel in the mail from my blogging buddy Val:

We have done an eye spy fabric swap (just the two of us from our stashes) so I now have plenty of great new squares. I have laid out some favorites so you can see the kind of wonderful prints Val sent among her 50 four" squares. They are fabulous and I really have to start on this quilt ASAP because I am so excited about all the fabrics.
