October small projects

I have heaps of fall and Halloween inspired fabrics and I didn't have any table runners made with these fabrics so I threw a couple of quick ones together in the last few days:


I used Moda mini charm packs for the centre, there are 42 pieces per pack so I needed to cut some extras from my stash to make the runners my desired size. I then added a 1" border and a 2.5" border.

I used meandering FMQing and machine binding by folding the backing to the front
 This is the first time I have successfully free motion quilted using basting spray. The thread did not break once!!! This is the spray I used it isn't cheap at about $20 a can locally but I can't wait to try it on a larger project some time, like a baby quilt.


Now I finally have a fall display on my kitchen bench:
