Last week I blogged about some things that were inspiring me lately. One of those things is adult coloring page designs and one of my favorite artists is Johanna Basford. I had made a goal for 2016 to make a redwork style embroidery quilt. So I began to combine the two ideas and I printed Johanna's rabbit design onto fabric to embroider it. I chose turquoise and green threads predominantly. This is how it turned out:
I adore it and cannot wait to embroider her squirrel, fox and hedgehog! They will all probably go into a lap quilt ultimately but for now I just love embroidering them.
