I like to go on quilt retreats with the other ladies from my local quilt club, there are usually about 25 of us. Since I am driving for an hour to get there it is important that I pack enough stuff to make sure my time is productive.
What do I take?
- UFOs, small projects
- back up fabric and charm squares for 'on a whim' or run out of planned projects sewing
- Water bottle, diet coke, snacks
- my Google Nexus tablet and cell phone
- scissors and thread snips
- rotary cutter and blades
- thread
- bobbins
- rulers
- cutting mat
- pins, safety pins
- small waste basket
- a fun vintage sewing machine or two, manual, power cords, pedal
- extension cord and power board
- un-picker
- pen, pencil, notebook
- quilt novel
- small iron and small ironing pad or small ironing table

I take a different vintage machine to each retreat:
It is a lot of fun and a great way to get to know other people in the club.
