Two Color quilt pattern design

For a while now I have wanted to design some paper piecing patterns that require only two fabrics. I think I can use up some odd fabric in my stash by just pairing it with a simple solid. So here is this mornings first attempt:

This is a 6 block by 6 block quilt, each block is 7" square. The finished quilt is 50" square.

This example is with a batik like fabric as the background:

And both quilts can be made from this simple 7" x 7" paper piecing block:

Making digital quilts can be fun too :)
