Scrap Attack

After spending time yesterday cutting a ton of scraps, I felt like sewing something scrappy. So I made the QAYG outside of a large tote bag using a batting scrap: 

Hopefully I'll finish making the bag next week...

Then I started a couple of long term projects with flying geese.

1. Cute colorful geese with a white background fabric, I'm just going to keep adding these to this basket whenever I have time to make a set.

 2. Kansas Troubles/civil war style fabrics with an earthy neutral solid background. I'm planning to use up all the scraps from my barn quilts on this project:

I also made 5 more QAYG string blocks, so I have 30 now! I'll have to start assembling it soon.
