Rehashing an old project...

This week I've been in the process of making myself some quilted trivets/protective table toppers.

 5 years ago I made a quilted banner for my antique mall booth. I sold predominantly vintage Pyrex so I made two Pyrex quilt blocks to go in the banner.

I recently closed my booth and I no longer needed the banner. So I cut it up to remove the two delightful Pyrex themed blocks.

Wednesday I added a layer of protective batting to the back of the already minimally quilted block. Then a scrappy yellow and orange improv pieced backing (because nobody sees the back anyway so scraps will do!)
Then I re-quilted all the layers together.

Once I added binding they were ready to use!

I just love repurposing things 💗👌
