Do you have a favorite thread or threads?
I definitely do especially when it comes to free motion quilting. My favorite is Glide. I just ordered a batch of my favorite neutrals:
- White
- Latte (the perfect cream/bone)
- Flint (a fabulous light gray)
- Black
And with this order I also got a new spool of Buttercup which is my favorite yellow.
I'm not as fussy about my piecing thread but I do prefer polyester because it's longer lasting and stronger. When paper piecing the polyester thread is strong enough to rip paper off easily without straining the thread in the seam. Polyester also doesn't shed lint as much as cotton which means less sewing machine maintenance.
