Packing Up Day 2

Our impending repatriation to Australia means I have a sewing studio to prepare for movers. Those removalists come in early September to pack our stuff into a shipping container that will then take months to reach Australia. After that we'll stay in a temporary apartment we rented here in Denver for that few months before flying to Australia in January

To complicate matters we intend to have hard wood flooring laid in my new Australian sewing room (and several other rooms) once we arrive, so I can't set up my sewing room until that is done.

So I've been packing my stuff into bins so that it can stay packed up and stacked in another room out of the way whilst the flooring is done.

I was particularly eager to pack my rainbow of perfectly folded fabric into clear tubs so it stayed perfectly folded and sorted by color because it took me a full week to organize and fold it a couple of years ago.
So far I've filled five tubs. I'm definitely going to need a couple more because I haven't even started packing the solids off my library cart yet.

I've been buying tubs at thrift stores locally and washing/scrubbing them so they are almost like new again. So the tubs usually cost at least half what you'd pay for them new so it won't matter too much if they get slightly cracked/broken in transit.

I've also ordered some adhesive clear tub labelling pockets from Amazon so they can be labelled well without using annoying methods that are hard to change later if the tub is repurposed.

They come with the cards to write on that go inside the plastic pocket. So easy, neat and functional.
