Whilst I'm sewing with my temporary sewing machine in our temporary accommodations I'm keeping it basic. The machine is a vintage Bernina 807 I thrifted several years ago for $20. It's a little workhorse. I'm still sticking to small projects like cushion covers and quilt blocks until I have a full studio again in 2023 though.
So for the "ugly" Christmas sweater cushion cover I've been working on, I decided to do simple wavy lines.
In the last week I have also found a sewist who I can give the temporary sewing machine to when we leave for Australia! She's a regular participant in the yoga class I teach on Thursday mornings in Castle Rock. It's great knowing I can rehome the machine to a place where she'll be loved.
