For the last year or two I've had a rule that I can't start new quilts unless they are scrap quilt projects. The only exceptions are my annual BOM and Scrap Satisfaction patterns which I must pattern test.
As I sorted through my projects tubs recently I decided it was time to color sort some leftover 3" square scraps that were leftover from previous projects. Then I decided to start a scrap quilt using the blue squares because blue is my 2023 color of the year.
So I started sewing them into nine patches and then cutting that nine patch in half both ways to create unsymmetrical four patches.
These little 4" blocks are cute and easy to make. I made about 160 of them today. I'm planning to make a simple scrappy quilt by framing them with pale blue solid sashing and borders.
