Sometimes it's fun to take a break from big projects and just play with scraps to create a small quick project.
Like this hexagon table topper!
I machine pieced some 3.5" hexagons, improv pieced a scrappy backing and then quilted it with straight lines:
I also cut the binding from scraps. These fabrics were all part of the scrap hoard I was gifted in 2022 by fellow sewists Teresa and Carol. I had set aside the dark greens because our couch is green. So it was nice to finally take the time to whip up a quick table topper for the coffee table.
I just need to do the binding.
