Scrappy Play

Sometimes it's fun to take a break from big projects and just play with scraps to create a small quick project.

Like this hexagon table topper!

I machine pieced some 3.5" hexagons, improv pieced a scrappy backing and then quilted it with straight lines:

I also cut the binding from scraps.  These fabrics were all part of the scrap hoard I was gifted in 2022 by fellow sewists Teresa and Carol.  I had set aside the dark greens because our couch is green.  So it was nice to finally take the time to whip up a quick table topper for the coffee table.
I just need to do the binding.
