For this week's color study image I chose a photo of fungi growing on a jarrah tree in a forest where my husband and I recently hiked here in Western Australia.
The mushroomy cream with two tones of brown is an enticing warm palette that Mother Nature makes almost magically seem perfect.
Can you imagine this palette in a quilt?
We are four weeks in to the color study series and these are the four palettes I've shared so far.
Nature is a wildly varied phenomenon and it creates and emanates so much beauty! It can inspire us and help us to see the many ways we can utilise color in unusual ways as quilters.
My husband would love both of these if I had time to make them!
