Year of Blue Quilt Finish

I just love a quilt finish.  Any quilt finish.  But somehow that feeling is even better when that finish is a quick, easy scrap quilt that uses up a ton of fabric odds and ends and 3" scrappy squares.

In January I chose blue as my inaugural "color of the year" to focus my scrap usage and quilt design palettes.  This scrap quilt was my main scrap project for the year and I finally finished the binding and got a couple of photos.
Quilt size: 60" x 69"

I made 9 patches with 3" squares then cut them into quarters to make the 156 nine patch quarter blocks.

I really love the simplicity of this quilt and the colours.  I think it'll be a favourite for many years to come.
