Last year I started a new tradition by choosing a color of the year and I enjoyed the focus.
Last year's color was blue and I made one large scrap quilt and used blue a lot in designs.
But it's 2024 so I have a new focus color:
I've already used it in my free 2024 Scrap Satisfaction quilt design.

I've used yellow a lot in quilts previously, it's actually one of my favourite colours, but it's always fun to use it more!
