Basting and quilting!

This week I chose a whiskey print from my stash to back my postage stamp tumbler quilt  I needed to join two pieces to make it a wide enough quilt back, but I didn't want half bottles so I aligned the bottles, glued and pinned the fabric in place:

Then I topstitched the seem so I could keep an eye on the bottles to ensure they stayed aligned. It turned out great!
Then I got to work spray basting it:

And quilting it with a simple meandering FMQ.
After it was finished I washed it and then hung it on the line for a few hours before popping it in the dryer for the final fluff up to make it nice and crinkly.
This will be great to snuggle up under this winter.
