During 2021 I'm planning to try some new FMQ motifs, my goal is to try one new motif each month. This month I chose pebbles:
If I was going to use this motif I'd need a LOT of practice! And I got bored quickly! But it did generate an idea for February's motif:

I plan to make a template for tracing them onto my quilt sandwich. So my time wasn't totally wasted with pebbles!
Pebbles are often used to fill negative space, I often use stippling for that because it's faster easier and more meditative to actually do. So for now I'm going to stick with that. But I am pleased I tried it out because it generated February's motif idea 💗🐾
