These kinds of quilts are great for using up "busy" print scraps. This quilt will use up 729 scrappy 3" squares.
These quilts were a terrific way to use up scraps and are constantly in use at our house! We will see how far the scraps go this year...

I made three of these quilts last summer to demolish my 3" scrap hoard. But I generated a lot more 3" scraps this year.

Why do I have so many 3" square scraps?
Many are cut from the offcuts of quilt backs that are generated when I spray baste a quilt.
