Quilt Palette Inspiration

This week I've done two different palettes inspired by the same photo.

This first one focused on the colours in the rock formations:

The second one included a sky blue with the red and yellow tones from the rocks.

And of course you could use all four colours together! 

The photo was taken several years ago when we went to the Colorado Paint Mines. Here's some info about that fascinating place:

I love that mellow rocky red tone!
