Mother's Day & farewell

As Mother's Day and my mother's birthday approached in 2012 I was preparing for emigration from Australia to the USA and I decided to make a quilt for my mum to give her on my farewell trip to Narrabri.

Mum had given me some gorgeous green fabric years before that I never quite wanted to use, until this quilt. It was a difficult color to find fat quarters to match but it turned out okay.
