Owl cushion cover

I made an owl cushion cover today as a gift for my friend Jessica she is a teacher who has decorated her classroom in an owl theme with bright orange, lime green and teal, I helped her create a tree yesterday in her classroom too!

The cushion is to go on that Adirondack chair in the reading corner.

So here is my paper pieced handy work as it comes together:

This is the free pattern I used:

I used all scrap fabrics from my stash and simple button eyes

  1. Very cute little owl! It's going to look right at home in Jessica's class room. Is her tree made out of fabric as well? I'm sure her students find this a happy place!

    1. No the tree is just twisted up brown paper which is quick and easy, it only took us about half an hour to make it.

  2. The owl is really cute. I particularly like the orange fabric. And good job on the tree!
