Remember that box of baby clothes that I got in the mail from Hawaii to make a quilt from a friend's granddaughter's baby clothes?


This is the kind of thing it contained:






And yesterday I spent most of the day cutting 6" squares from the baby clothes, some of the clothes were so tiny I had to piece the 6" squares and almost all of the squares needed to have stabilizer ironed on the back because they were stretch fabrics.


But it eventually became a quilt top! I'll quilt it soon and then sew the 8 pink buttons from a jumper/overall that was among the clothes to the mauve strips above and below her name:

I'm just going to stitch in the ditch on this one I think.
