Meditative Sewing

I decided last week that I needed a break from my to-do list. So I've spent a week on scrappy play! First I color sorted my strip scraps, then I started improv piecing 💗

This is the first quilt top I completed:

It'll get a scrappy green binding once quilted.

Then I moved on to black & grey with a pop of yellow:

Now I'm working on demolishing the beige and brown scraps:

I find scrappy play and particularly improv piecing with scraps a very meditative experience. These are not the prettiest quilts I'll ever make but they are soothing my soul through pure play.
