Childhood Memories

In February after my mum died I found my childhood ragdoll whilst sorting through mum's belongings.
She had no clothes and looked a little worse for wear but I was excited to find her. Yesterday I decided to design her a kimono to wear:

It took a couple of tries but I finally got the pattern figured out and made a scrappy prototype, I think I'll make the final one an inch longer but otherwise I'm really happy:

I even tried plaiting embroidery floss for the tie strap and I love the outcome.

I can't wait to make her a final kimono now that I've perfected the pattern!
