After tackling a lot of work in my studio on the weekend I did eventually get around to sewing some improv scrap blocks into a quilt top!

I also prepped the quilt back, so it's ready for basting!
Then I started putting together blocks for a black improv quilt with an FPP scrappy star at the centre.
Like the brown one it is based on a 9 blocks x 9 blocks layout to make it a generous throw size quilt. I had to make 3 extra 6" square black improv blocks to have enough blocks for this, but I did have some black scraps set aside for that.
I didn't get this one finished whilst hubby was away so it'll have to wait until I'm in the studio again sometime.
These are all part of the 1500+ scrappy improv blocks I pieced in 2022 and 2023.
