Thrifty Thursday

I added this sewing machine to my collection this week for less than $30, she is a Rocketeer and one of these has been on my want list for ages! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her in Goodwill:

I just love the retro 50s & 60s look of this machine.

Quilting is an expensive hobby. How have you been thrifty lately to allow you to afford this hobby? Have you; shopped in a thrift store, bought 'on sale' or discounted fabrics, reused fabric from clothes etc?
