sharing my pretties

On the first Tuesday evening of May 2014 I found myself in heaven! I was asked to share my vintage sewing machine collection with my quilt club! My husband Matthew helped me out with the heavy lifting and technical details about servicing and maintenance.

I took along six of my nine vintage machines. They were all Singers only because my non-singers are cabinet models.  I took a rocketeer, 301, 201, 221, 185j and 99k.

We demonstrated the vast array of Singer machines available and talked about everything from rewiring and endplates to normal maintenance and prices. I loved it and spoke to so many other vintage machine lovers during the night!

My husband is awesome, thanks Matthew for tagging along xox.

  1. I'm sure everyone enjoyed it! It was wonderful of Matthew to assist you!

  2. I will definitely be emailing you with questions! I am getting interested in vintage machines due to all my blogging friends who love them. I just bought a 301 on eBay. I'm very excited!
