A quilt finish! Yahoo

I so rarely finish a quilt lately, so it's pretty exciting to finish one. And today the weather was fine and warm to go outside and take some photos!!!!

This was the fourth quilt in a series of 5 custom childhood memories quilts I am making for a friends grandchildren.

Henry the Cockapoo loves to keep me company when I am spray basting on the sunny back deck:

And whilst I was quilting this one my 20 yard roll of batting arrived. It's the first time I've ever bought batting by the roll, it'll be great I'm sure!

  1. suer quilt for a youngster, wondering what batting you have bought I am about to get a roll, the previous one was a recycled type but do not want the same again, thinking about warm and natural but still thinking

  2. This time I bought Pellon 80/20 Margaret because it's mainly for charity quilts and the 20% polyester in it helps the quilt hold shape with plenty of washing. I usually buy warm and natural 100% cotton for special quilts.I have also used bamboo previously and loved it.
