I took this photo of my vintage Elna last month. I love vintage sewing machines, I have about twenty.
I am used to designing quilt block layouts on my computer (such a fabulous machine) but I did not bring my laptop on holidays so at the moment I'm designing old school with pen and paper!
This is my design plan for the quilt block that I'll make to frame my Johanna Basford animal embroidery blocks (featured yesterday on the blog). There will be four blocks in the quilt. Each block will measure approximately 24" square hopefully.
