BOM is caught up!

I started a quilt club BOM in about September, but I had 2 months worth of steps to complete before tonights club meeting, so I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning getting that done.

Yesterday afternoon I added the two borders around this cabin block:

Then this morning I added two more borders around that:

I am using predominantly scraps for this quilt to try to make a dent in my stash in 2014. I love QALs and BOMs because as a beginning quilter they each teach me something (or many things actually). These kinds of projects are often things I would never have chosen to do on my own, but the group dynamic draws me in  and I learn new skills and gain confidence :)

The pattern book we are using for this BOM is Welcome to the Cabin by Nancy Smith and Lynda Milligan:
